Orange collar palm (Areca vestiaria)

A colourful member of the betel nut palm family. Both red and orange varieties grow well in semi shaded postions in tropical or subtropical regions. Prefers regular moisture and will grow to approx 4 - 5m tall. Can be single or multi stemmed. A great substitute for the "Lipstick or sealing wax palm" which will not survive outdoors out of the tropics.
