Rearmost area of a large block in Bulimba, designed around a dry creekbed drainage channel to mitigate existing issues and provide a more pleasing outlook from the veranda.
This jungle and dry creek was created to improve a neglected rear area of a renovated home in Bulimba, soon to be subdivided and undergo extensive front yard works. The client had many points of interest she wanted highlighted and catered for, including a small shrine, a reclaimed concrete trough, new dry stone walls and a staircase to a recently installed retained area.
The creekbed and attending jungle serve to make the most of the area under existing tree canopy, with a small paved path leading to the staircase. Plants and trees have been chosen to eventually screen the rear & side fences, and produce a naturalistic looking, but highly colourful, garden.
