Ben
Director / Project Manager / Landscaper / Designer
Ben has been involved in the horticultural industry all his adult life. He has filled many roles in this time, everything from labouring in plant production facilities to general manager of a successful retail nursery.
Ben has achieved a Bachelor of Applied Science specialising in horticulture (University of QLD) and is a passionate and knowledgeable palm and tropical plant specialist. Ben collects rare palms both as a business and a hobby. He is in the exciting process of creating a brand-new display garden on his property at Ormeau.
Ben fulfils numerous roles for Tropiscapes including – team management, consultant, designer, project manager, plant brokerage, material sourcing, quoting and installing.

Chris
Project Manager / Designer / Landscaper
Chris brings a lifetime of gardening experience, horticultural production skills, and a background in architecture, digital illustration & project management to the team. He has helped create gardens from Tasmania to Queensland.
Chris achieved a Bachelor of Built Environment (Architecture) at QUT, and has undertaken studies in Town Planning, Environmental Science, and post-graduate studies in Architecture. His studies focussed on subtropical design, urban landscape placemaking and environmentally-responsive high-density residences.
His professional experience includes low to medium-rise residential, bespoke residential, hotels, design consultation with landscape architects & planners and commercial archviz.
In the horticulture industry, Chris has worked in plant production, retail nursery sales, horticultural consultation and garden design.
Chris wears a lot of hats at Tropiscapes – consultant, designer, project manager, site supervisor, quoting, drafting, site documentation, marketing, biosecurity certifier and IT manager.

Kerry
Head Designer / Project Manager
Kerry has obtained a Diploma in Horticulture and has 15 years in the horticulture industry with much of that time dedicated to garden design.
She has a real flair for creating lush tropical gardens, drawing on her experience in Floristry to sculpt out spaces with foliage. She is always on the lookout for new plant species and ideas to incorporate into her designs. Kerry takes great pride in all aspects of her work. She has a reputation for developing excellent client relations and delivering beautiful garden concepts.
Kerry’s roles within Tropiscapes include: Consultation, Head of Design, plant sourcing & brokerage, and quoting.
